Fort Comstock – Refurbishment

Closed since 2024, “Legends of the Wild West” walkthrough attraction allowed guests to freely explore an authentic Old West military Fort Comstock, overlooking Frontierland. Throughout the experience, guests could discover detailed sets, ambient music, historical scenes with static figures, and several viewpoints offering unique panoramic views across Thunder Mesa, the Rivers of the Far West and Big Thunder Mountain.

According to our informations, the closure is believed to be linked to the deteriorated condition of the wooden walkways and viewing platforms. Parts of the structure reportedly no longer meet current safety standards, with concerns over the condition of the flooring making guest access impossible without significant rehabilitation.

Although Disneyland Paris has not announced any refurbishment project for the attraction, a complete renovation would likely be required before the walkthrough could ever reopen to guests.

As one of Frontierland’s most atmospheric yet often overlooked experiences, many fans hope to see Fort Comstock preserved and restored rather than permanently abandoned just like other places in the park.

DLP Works will continue to monitor the situation and report on any future permits, construction activity or official announcements related to the site.
