The Discoveryland Station remains closed to guests years after operations stopped during the COVID-19 period at Disneyland Paris.
Like Fantasyland Station, the Discoveryland stop on the Disneyland Railroad ceased operations during the COVID-19 era and has yet to reopen to guests. Although trains once again circulate around the park, they now bypass the station entirely, leaving one of the most visually unique sections of the attraction inactive.
Over the past few years, only limited maintenance work has been visible around the station and its surrounding track areas. No significant reconstruction or operational updates have been communicated publicly by Disneyland Paris.

Ironically, while the station itself remains dormant, the surrounding area continues to evolve. The nearby Starport rooftop has periodically been transformed into “Lounge Lightspeed,” a seasonal Star Wars-themed terrace experience introduced in 2025. Located above the former station access area, the temporary lounge offered drinks, themed snacks, roaming characters, BDX droids, and panoramic views over Discoveryland beneath the iconic X-wing.
At the same time, as exclusively revealed by DLP Works, additional modifications are now planned for the station itself. The rooftops of Discoveryland Station are expected to receive new telecommunications antenna infrastructure, alongside thematic integration work intended to better conceal the installations within Discoveryland’s retro-futuristic aesthetic.
For many fans, the situation remains bittersweet. Discoveryland Station was once one of the most atmospheric stops on the railroad, perfectly blending Jules Verne-inspired architecture with kinetic views of the land. Today, despite small projects happening around it, the station itself remains inaccessible and frozen in time.
For now, Discoveryland Station remains frozen in time, maintained, visible, but completely inaccessible to guests.
