Rumors of a third theme park at Disneyland Paris have circulated for years and unlike many Disney rumors, this one has some very real foundations !

Under the development agreement signed between Disney and the French government, a large plot of land has long been reserved for a potential third gate. In 2020, an official amendment extended Disney’s deadline to move forward from 2026 to 2036, keeping the project firmly on the table.(Hôtel L’Elysée Val d’Europe)
Disney executives have remained cautious. In 2025, Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski stated that the company is “always thinking about” the resort’s long-term future, but had “nothing to announce at this time.” That is classic Disney language: neither confirmation nor denial.(The Main Street News)

Recent infrastructure projects—including new roads, utility upgrades, and a dedicated electrical substation near the reserved plot—have only fueled speculation. While none of these works officially confirm a third park, they strongly suggest Disney is preserving the option for a major future expansion.(The Main Street News)
For now, Disney’s priority remains the transformation of Walt Disney Studios into Disney Adventure World. But once that multi-billion-euro expansion is complete, attention could very well shift toward a long-awaited third gate. The land is ready. The agreement is in place. Now, it’s simply a matter of when, not if.

The amendment between Disneyland Paris and public authorities allows for the creation of a third park once annual attendance exceeds 22 million visitors (currently around 16M). A decision must be made before March 24, 2036, unless a new amendment is agreed.
Aerial views reveal the designated site for the third park across Magny-le-Hongre and Bailly-Romainvilliers, with an embankment already constructed between the existing park and the ring road in preparation.
Adjacent to the planned third park, a plot has been reserved for a new Disney hotel, complementing the resort’s accommodation offerings.
