Disneyland Paris continues the expansion of Disney Adventure World with a brand-new family attraction inspired by Pixar’s Up. Officially named Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, this experience is scheduled to open in 2027 and represents the first-ever attraction themed to this film in any Disney park!

The family attraction developed by #WaltDisneyImagineering & manufactured by Zamperla is inspired by Tivoli Gardens, with a tilting canopy mechanism model, increasing sensation of flight. The attraction introduces kinetic energy, motion & activity along the promenade.
The 1st ever attraction themed after “UP”, will have a queue “heavily themed” around the film & the spirit of adventure, divided into 4 narrative zones:
- Childhood memories of Carl & Ellie, including their aviator goggles or the adventure book,
- The spirit of exploration centered around a globe,
- The ceremony awarding the “Aviation badge” to guests,
- Carl’s balloons, the ones leading the attraction itself.

The attraction will feature 64 seats across 48 swing positions (probably 32 single seats and 16 double), evoking Rattan-style materials referencing the historic aesthetic of early swing rides.
Architecturally, the attraction will integrate into #DisneyAdventureWorld landscaped promenade with a mix of Art Nouveau influences & early aviation aesthetics:
- Curved structures & decorative metalwork,
- Industrial references inspired by vintage aircraft & zeppelins (nod to the film),
- Balloon motifs integrated into the entrance & exit structures,
- Colorful architecture inspired by Carl’s balloons,
- Stained glass elements producing “warm lighting” effects.

Other details shared with a musical atmosphere inspired by fairground organs. The canopy of the attraction will be rotating, gradually revealing the mural, designed in collaboration with #Pixar Studios
Surrounding landscaping will follow the garden-style design language of Adventure Way, with dense vegetation and lantern lighting designed to create an intimate, secluded environment:
- Some references to the zoo where Carl & Ellie worked.
- A beautiful Statue of Carl & Kevin playing
