Disneyland Paris is preparing a major new themed land inspired by The Lion King, the first ever in a Disney Park!
World of Lion King is a huge expansion and a significant step in the ongoing transformation of Disney Adventure World!
Projet Overview
World of The Lion King is designed as an immersive environment recreating the African savanna (Tanzanian inspiration) and key locations from the film. The land aims to combine large-scale storytelling with advanced ride technology, placing guests directly into Simba’s journey.
At the heart of the project is a major E-ticket attraction, widely expected to be a water-based attraction (flume) system inspired by the Pride Lands.
Early information suggests:
- A large show building integrated into a rocky landscape resembling Pride Rock
- A ride system combining indoor & a small outdoor section
- Significant Audio-Animatronics presence
- A narrative structure following key moments of the film & iconic musics!
The land itself is expected to include to span more than 18 000 m2
- Themed pathways and vegetation recreating the savanna
- Dining and retail experiences integrated into the environment
- Strong visual iconography centered around Pride Rock
